Best Beaches in Jervis Bay, NSW

A 3-hour drive hour from Sydney, Jervis Bay is known for its sugary-white sandy beaches, clear aqua water and gumtree-lined inlets.

It’s one of the most popular weekend road trip destinations in the state, and for good reason. The beaches in the Jervis Bay area are arguably some of the best in the country.

But there’s more than just Hyams Beach, people!!! From Shoalhaven Heads to Bawley Point, there are 16 white sand beaches and even more swimming spots to choose from, each with their own unique selling points.

So here’s my pick on the best beaches in Jervis Bay, that aren’t Hyams.

Whitings Beach

Blenheim Beach: a super secluded little bay

Nelson Beach: dog friendly, wide-open and bright white sand

Whitings Beach: a little cove within Booderee NP that boasts crystal clear green water and an amazing underwater ecosystem that’s perfect for snorkelling

Chinamans Beach

Iluka Beach: great for sunbathing the day away

Greenfield Beach: calm, clear water

Chinamans Beach: a quieter, but just-as-pretty version of Hyam’s

Blenheim Beach
